Lima Lipa is a photographer and filmmaker based in Queens, New York, with multiethnic heritage from Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East. Her works focus on the lives of women and queer women, exploring identity, resilience, self-expression and the discovery of their own sexuality. Her photography and films use cinematic language and intimate storytelling. Lima is interested in character-driven films and contemporary performance art.
