lima lipa is a director, producer and photographer based in queens, new york. born in the north caucasus, with afghan, armenian, and russian roots, her work centers women’s lives in the contemporary world, exploring identity, self-expression, loneliness, and sensuality through a cinematic, emotionally intimate visual language.

lima is a fellow of the wme fashion incubator ’25 program. her debut short film body motion has been recognized by the new york international shorts film festival, cuny film festival, berlin indie film festival, and aster film festival at cornell university.
